How this all started

What began as a simple assignment became a life's dream

A number of years ago while at college, I was given the freedom to create my own project that would serve as the final for a class focused on the New Testament and the teachings of Jesus Christ. At the time I had just invested in some digital drawing tools and wanted to somehow incorporate that into whatever I did. The result was a small book of sketches depicting Christ in simple scenes which I thought would be fun to publish and share, but after the semester ended I moved on to other classes and didn’t investigate that possibility any further – though the idea never fully left. It always stayed in the back of my mind as something that I should look into one day.

Fast forward a few years and I started feeling like trying something I’ve never done, but always wanted to do. Pulling the original draft of the book out, I decided to follow through on the idea of working to get it published.

Visiting with friends and family and sharing our experiences and testimonies of how Jesus Christ helps us motivated me to change the focus of the book from art and stories about the Savior generally to specifically how He helps us in small everyday ways that, oftentimes, go unnoticed. It seemed to me that more miracles happen in this way than in the grand ones we often hear about, and I felt that maybe that message, that Jesus Christ is with us every moment of everyday, could help others.

That has become the reason for this whole project: to be a support of faith in Jesus Christ by collecting as many moments that testify that He is with us always, no matter what we are going through, even if it is a small, simple, and everyday thing. My dream is to publish all these moments in a book, filled with art of Jesus Christ with everyday people, and share it with others.

To all who share and submit a story/moment, thank you for your help and testimony. I believe the world is full of light and faith in Jesus Christ, and by lifting each other up, however we do it, we can share His good message of peace and hope.
